The Czech Society of Clinical Biochemistry (CSCB) was established in 1958 as an association of university and secondary school educated professionals in the branch of biochemistry and in related branches, particularly laboratory medicine. The CSCB is one of the professional societies of the Czech Medical Association of Jan Evangelista Purkyně and (CMA JEP) and is also a member and partner of the IFCC (International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine) and the EC4 (European Communities Confederation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine).
